Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was awesome for me. Saturday we took a drive to Monterey to have lunch and hang out for part of the day--it was a little chilly there, but we had a good time. Today we just hung around the house. Brad made us sandwiches so that we could take a little walk to the park and have a picnic. Lexxa is such a big girl and she rode her new Dora bike with training wheels instead of her tricycle! She is so good at it. We hung out under a tree and had our lunch and Lexxa played on the playground for a little while.
Logan just started walking and he became a pro at it over night it seems (I'll post a video of him walking soon)! It's so fun watching him grow up and watching his personality develop more and more every day. He's very inquisitive and just wants to check everything out.

Lexxa told me on Wednesday: "Mommy, we went to the paint place and made you something...it's a surprise." She was talking about Glazed Creations in Morgan Hill, similar to Petroglyph. So, she kind of killed that surprise which Brad expected. It turns out that the gift wasn't ready by Mother's Day anyway, so I have yet to see what it looks like. According to Lexxa "We can't take it home yet because they have to put it in the oven first." So, I thought what she actually made would still be a surprise until yesterday or the day before she told me "we made you a cup and plate." Oh well, I'm still really excited to see it when it's ready! She's too funny.

And, even though Brad is the one who is home with the kids every day, he did such a great job of making it all about me this weekend...you gotta love him for that!

I have so much to be thankful for this Mother's Day. Do I have to go back to reality tomorrow?
